Does Proactive Acne Treatment Work?

I have bad acne and have tried several different creams and products, but none of them work or last very long. I’ve heard that Proactive works very well and clears up the skin, but I was wondering, does it actually last? I’ve even tried a prescription acne treatment and it worked, but once I stopped using it, my skin broke out. If my skin showed results and I stopped using Proactive after a while, would my skin break out again?

you shouldnt use that until you cant find any other products. go to a derma, and theyll prescribe you some medication that will clear acne from inside out. also, after you stop using proactive, you will break out more than before. thats the problem. you skin is going to need it and if its so used to it now, proactive might lose its effectiveness and give your MORE breakouts.

My husband swears by it. He doesn’t use the amount the recommend he uses much less which in turn makes it last longer. On average one box of proactive will last a month by their directions he can stretch it to 4 months. I don’t know if you would break out if you stopped using it I can only assume that you would seeing as you are stopping the treatments. Using an acne treatment doesn’t change your skin, and you skin is the problem, it only helps to change the outcomes of what your skin does.
